Multiple studies have shown that the more friends you have, the lower your chance of dying.

fuckyeahfacts:

Researchers in Australia found that older people who have what is defined as a “large circle of friends” are 22 percent less likely to die than those with a smaller number of friends. In 2006, a study of 3,000 women with breast cancer showed that those with more than 10 friends were four times less likely to succumb to the disease as those with no close friends. And, finally, a Swedish study has suggested having an expanding social circle significantly lowers the risk of heart disease.

Of course, eventually we all die, no matter how large your social circle may be. This means eating vegetables is still probably better for you than sitting in front of the computer friending people on Facebook.

Take note there: FACEBOOK FRIENDS don’t mean ANYTHING. We’re talking REAL friends here.
